Grasshopper plans to develop three games based on original IPS in the next ten years

Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. (, Kabushiki Gaisha Gurasuhoppā Manifakuchua )is a Japanese computer game designer started on March 30, 1998 by Goichi Suda. They are well understood for producing titles such as killer7 and also the Say goodbye to Heroes collection.

In a recent interview with VGC, Goichi Suda , has detailed the ten-year plans of his study Grasshopper Manufacture : We have a general plan for the next ten years. At this point, we plan to do three titles in the next decade: three new IPS. We have already begun the pre-production of the first title but we can not say anything at the moment. What the creator of no more heroes has specified is that these projects will be advancing with respect to the previous work of the study: They will not be exactly small scale nor something like Liberation Maiden, I would say that they are going to be something of the Scale AA », explained the Creator, underlining that the team will be quite compact.

Suda51 (Killer7 / No More Heroes) Breaks Down His Design Philosophy | Noclip When it comes to chaining projects, Suda 51 commented that your work plan is quite flexible and, if the case, could go from the development of one of these three original IPS to dedicate yourself to a new version of an existing game: There are some ancient games where I would like to put my hands and try to make a reboot or a remake of some kind. If the appropriate company was approached with the rights of the IP and decided to do that ... we would have to see how it could work. As Suda has clarified, Grasshopper does not have franchise rights such as No Heroes and Killer 7.

Regarding No More Heroes III, released last August, the Creator has already made it clear that it would be the last game of the saga. However, Suda would be happy to continue working with Nintendo and revive, if necessary, some of the ancient franchises of him.
